Julia Watts is Expert Market’s Content Manager, so when she’s not writing, she’s editing and keeping track of the site’s excellent content.
When she is writing, she’s a fleet management, asset tracking, and fuel cards guru, penning jargon-busting analyses on everything from fuel cost management to electric vehicles. She also specializes in telephone systems – helping readers to understand some complex tech and find the right communications solution for them – and business energy, cutting through the industry noise to arm readers with the knowledge they need to power their companies.
Before Expert Market, Julia ran social media, wrote content, and helped to organize events for Startups.co.uk: a leading online resource for growing businesses. Before that, she worked at a publishing startup, where her love for the dynamic world of entrepreneurship and business was sparked. Now, Julia’s a dedicated follower of the small business scene, and is passionate about creating content that might help exciting ventures, big or small, to flourish. In her time, she’s written for the International Business Times, ValueWalk, EUbusiness, Green Prophet, and more. Her work has also been cited by sites including the BBC and BBC News.
Raised on the fresh country air of North Devon, England, Julia earned a first-class honours degree in English at Bournemouth University, before moving just south of London. If you see her out in the wild, she might be taking a walk round her local park, or perhaps bingeing an obscure history documentary. Most likely, she’ll be eating something with cheese on it.
