 It also sends driver-side alerts; however, its dashcam solutions do not have in-cab audio alerts. You can also see your drivers’ performance as it creates safety scores up to 100, depending on the driving style and behaviour. It is worth noting that it falls behind Teletrac, which scores 4.8/5.

Radius Telematics’ vehicle management features

Radius scores relatively high on our vehicle management analysis with a 4.3/5, second to Verizon, who got a perfect score of 5/5. It automatically updates your system whenever it detects a faulty component, so you save time on maintenance checks. You can also easily schedule maintenance as it tracks your mileage and engine hours. You can set up alerts or reminders, depending on what you are most comfortable with.

Radius also has a theft prevention feature that detects out-of-hours usage, which will alert you if any vehicle is being driven outside working hours. The only thing Radius missed here is the maintenance records. Unlike Verizon, Samsara, and Teletrac Navman, Radius doesn’t retain your fleet’s maintenance records, so you cannot sync this with your mechanic records.

Radius Telematics’ journey optimisation features

When placed on the racetrack with its competitors, it becomes apparent that this is the flat tyre of Radius. For one, it does not employ automatic route optimisation, which puts it far behind Verizon and Samsara, the two leading participants. We know how much traffic zaps out the time we could have spent working, so it’s best to find a vehicle tracking system that suggests the most efficient route possible. On the plus side, though, it sends traffic alerts while your drive is en route.
