Hasler Postage Meters Review 2018

Hasler continues to innovate with the very best

About Hasler

The Hasler Inc. logo has been in business mailrooms for the better part of 40 years. Hasler has customers in all corners of the US, ranging from small firms to large companies that process thousands of pieces of mail per hour.

Hasler was bought by Neopost in 2009, but the Hasler brand is stronger today than ever. To this day, Neopost continues to offer leases on Hasler postage meters.

As one of only five businesses authorized by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to supply postage meters, customers trust Neopost/Hasler in a way that most companies can only dream of.

Pricing

US federal law prohibits most businesses from buying and selling postage meters.

Fortunately, it’s perfectly fine to lease a meter from a registered supplier, like Neopost/Hasler.

Leases for entry-level Hasler postage meters, such as the IM280, start from around $25.00 per month. For a more advanced machine, like the IM6000, you’re looking at hundreds of dollars per month.

When you’re weighing up postage meter costs, you should also take into account other things like USPS postage costs, ink refills, and other supplies.

Weigh these costs against the amount your business spends on postage and the time your staff spend processing mail manually. Most businesses find a postage meter pays for itself within six months.

Use our free quotes comparison tool to tell us a bit about your business requirements. Our trusted advisors will help you find a suitable mail machine solution in no time at all.

Review of Hasler Postage Machines

In performance terms, there are three tiers of Neopost/Hasler postage meters:

  • Low volume: Can process up to 25 letters per minute (lpm). Suitable for small businesses
  • Medium volume: Can process up to 100 lpm. Ideal for mid-sized businesses
  • High volume: Can process up to 350 lpm. Perfect for busy commercial mailrooms

Total Funds By Hasler/Neopost

Total Funds is Hasler’s answer to the problem of topping up your postage balance. Most postage machines make you do this whenever you run out, but the Total Funds easy payment service simplifies all that. Instead of manually topping up, you’ll have free access to all the postage you want (within a monthly limit), and Hasler/Neopost will bill you based on how much you use. So, if you spend $450 on postage in a month, you’ll receive an invoice for that amount at the end of that month.

Total Funds takes one more piece of admin off your plate, which can only be a good thing. But it also takes some control over costs out of your hands, since it’s easier to overspend when you’re only getting one bill at the end of each month. There’s also the small matter of invoicing, which is your responsibility to process on time. Total Funds doesn’t do away with postage admin entirely. Still, it’s a really useful addition to any mailroom that no other postage meter supplier offers.
