Overview

National Transaction Corporation was founded back in 1997. The company offer a variety of solutions to help businesses manage their cash flow.

National Transaction’s main area of expertise is integrating payment and processing services with products businesses already have, like their POS systems and the accounting software they use.

Despite the fact National Transaction has been around for 17 years it is still a relatively small processor. They take care of transactions for around 3,000 American businesses. Their client portfolio contains all sorts of businesses, from large eCommerce stores to sole traders with a single credit card reader.

Our Verdict on National Transaction

National Transaction is a reasonable option for most businesses. The rates they offer are not spectacular, but they are not the worst we have ever seen either. There are are no set-up or early termination fees and the account admin fees are reasonable too, which is good. If National Transaction bring their processing rates down a little they could become one of our highest scorers.

It’s worth noting that it is not easy to find price information on the National Transaction website. It’s annoying for consumers when companies don’t make this information easily available, especially when so many merchant account providers are now disclosing everything about their accounts on the homepages of their websites.

In general, it seems National Transaction’s current customers are happy with the service they are getting. The company has an A+ BBB rating which is a good indication they are offering a high standard of service.

If you are thinking of going with National Transaction we certainly wouldn’t want to advise against it, but we do recommend shopping around and comparing quotes to ensure you get the best rates available.
