WEX Fleet Card:
The WEX Fleet Card is a WEX-branded card that's accepted at over 90% of fueling stations in the United States, as well as 45,000 non-network retail fuel stations. The WEX Network consists of several brand partners, each with their own branded cards issued through WEX. That means that a driver can use their ExxonMobil card at a Shell station (for example).
WEX Fleet One OTR Card:
Targeted at over-the-road fleets, the Fleet One OTR card is valid at more than 7,800 truck stops, and can be used for non-fuel purchases, all with no transaction fees. Purchase controls allow business owners and fleet managers to limit the kind and amount of spending on the card, preventing fraud and abuse.
WEX Fleet One All Roads:
If your fleet varies by size or function, the All Roads fuel card may be the right fit for you. When used at a network location, there are no transaction fees and your card is charged the cash price, which can be a significant savings. Like other WEX cards, it includes reporting features for better tracking and cash flow management.
FlexCard is a solution targeted at smaller businesses where smaller fleets -- and often, tighter cash flow -- can be an issue. Unlike the other options listed, the FlexCard allows business owners to carry a balance.

WEX Connect App
Formerly known as Octane, the WEX Connect app is available to WEX customers and the general public alike. Unlike many applications, it allows users to search on a more granular level, narrowing results by fuel brand, fuel type (gas, Diesel, E85 and CNG), and services offered. Drivers can get directions and fuel prices, and can save preferred locations. The WEX Connect application is free, and works on devices running Android (2.3.3 and up) and iOS (6.0 and later).
WEX offers fleet fuel cards as part of an end-to-end fleet management solution for small businesses, large businesses, and government fleets ranging from a handful of vehicles to thousands of them. Fleet managers get detailed online reporting on fleet activity, fuel use, employee health accounts, expenses, driver behavior, tax and compliance issues, routing and scheduling.
WEX Telematics Tracking works hand-in-glove with its fuel management and WEX fuel card services. While the fuel budget reduction alone -- up to 15% for some fleets -- can be worth the price, the other tools that WEX puts in a fleet manager's arsenal can mean much higher savings than that. They enable fleet managers to monitor driver performance, fuel consumption, productivity, and safety issues, while preventing moonlighting and vehicle theft. And with access to 20,000 service centers in the United States and Canada, plus roadside assistance, accident response, and federal, state and DOT compliance assistance, WEX covers your drivers as well.

Benefits and Stations Available
WEX cards are accepted at over 90% of fueling locations in the United States, giving drivers and fleets the option of gas, diesel, CNG and E85. Fuel and purchase management tools significantly reduce operating costs by giving fleet managers a real-time view of expense reporting, as well as slashing unauthorized purchases. With WEX's WrightRewards™, users can also take advantage of cash back rewards.
FlexCard allows its users to carry a balance (due 26 days from statement date), and allows users and managers to view balance, statement and payment information online. The Fleet Card, on the other hand, must be paid in full every month, and adds the option to upgrade to WEX GPS and telematics services, plus better purchase controls and alerts. Both cards authorize and track usage patterns by driver ID, and also offer activation and suspension tools to combat theft and fraud, as well as letting managers set product and dollar limits on purchases.
In addition, branded WEX cards have benefits of their own. These benefits, which can vary by retailer, include fuel rebates, discounts of five to seven cents per gallon, same-as-cash pricing, and the ability to limit drivers' purchases by dollar amount or purchase type.
There are over 180,000 stations in the WEX network. Some of the biggest names among WEX's hundreds of network partners include:
|WEX Network Partners|
|Gulf||Holiday||Kum & Go|
Those holding a WEX card for any network member can use their card at any other member's pumps, but in most cases, they will not get the same benefits they receive if they use it at their usual station. While your 76 card will work at a Gulf station, therefore, you wouldn't receive the same discounts or rebates you would if you fueled at a 76 station.
Customer Service and Feedback
WEX offers 24/7 support via email and phone, as well as dedicated account reps, and on-staff advisors who can help with compliance, bulk purchases, and the like. Users typically like WEX's services and flexibility, only giving mixed reviews to its app. In particular, they've taken issue with the accuracy of pricing, its tendency to sort results by price instead of location, and the app's sometimes inconsistent refresh rates for both maps and prices. However, in view of their performance as a whole, this amounts to little more than a minor blemish.
We highly recommend WEX. The benefits of a card that's accepted at most of the gas stations in the United States, that brings with it its own fleet management ecosystem, and a reporting suite that gives actionable metrics to owners, fleet managers and drivers alike should be readily apparent. If you're looking at fuel management to control expenses -- and if you aren't, you should be -- WEX could well be the best fuel card we've seen.
