Bell and Howell Producer 16 Review

The Need for Direct Mailing

The Direct Marketing Association collated information in April 2012, discovering that direct mail boasts a 4.4% response rate compared to that of email which averages at 0.12%. It is therefore important for a company not to lose the personal touch with their clients whilst keeping up with business demands.

Alternatively, direct mail may play an integral part in a large business, i.e. for payroll mailing or customer invoices. To achieve a high level of direct mail output at a cost efficient rate, a company must therefore determine the cost of manpower and hours spent preparing mail pieces, and weigh this up against prospective response benefits.

The Producer 16 Direct Mail Inserter

Designed to increase direct mail output whilst reducing manpower and cost, the Producer 16 Direct Mail Inserter by Bell and Howell is a highly efficient, low cost and low maintenance inserting system which will significantly reduce the hours spent preparing mail pieces.

It can produce up to 16,000 enveloped, addressed and sealed mail pieces per hour (10,000 for 10" x 13" envelopes) and is designed to work 24/7 to produce maximum output of direct mail, which immediately reduces the cost per piece.

Due to the versatile design of the Producer 16, and depending on the company's needs, it can be adjusted to accommodate a range of envelope sizes and due to the vacuum separation it can accommodate a range of materials.

Technical Functionality

The Producer 16 Direct Mail Inserter boasts an enhanced design in a competitive mail inserters market. It is designed with a view to reducing maintenance and part replacement costs and is therefore a heavy duty tool perfect for any large company with a high direct mail output.

It is extremely flexible with an ability to process almost any application and allows for envelope sizes of 4" x 7" to 10" x 13" with a maximum collation thickness of 0.4". Insert sizes range from a minimum of 3.2" x 4.32" to a maximum of 9" x 11.82".

It's also designed to be operator friendly, easy to set up and complete job changeovers within minutes.

Overall Benefits

Bell and Howell strive to produce products which reduce manpower and cost incurred through wastage, aiming to help any large company achieve success.

The modular design of the Producer 16's components and its versatile functionality are designed to optimize return on investment by increasing production and reducing direct mail output cost.
